On October 3, 4, & 5, the Green Aruba Conference III will take place at Renaissance Convention Center. An event of this magnitude completely dedicated to alternative energy shows how Aruba has accelerated it’s “Green” pace progressively. The theme of this year is ‘smart and sustainable’, in which the topic of ‘green energy for households’ is high on the green agenda.
Prior to the conference, on October 2nd, we are offering an excellent opportunity to explore the prospects and possibilities Aruba can offer to companies. On the Pre-Conference Day, participants can choose to take part in one of following outstanding programs offered by the Green Aruba Conference in conjunction with the Aruba Investment Agency (Arina), the Aruba Chamber of Commerce, Free Zone Aruba, Aruba Trade and Industry Association (ATIA) and TNO.
The Arina’s “Green Missions Program”, entails a breakfast briefing in which attendants will learn about Aruba’s economy, outlook, opportunities for investing, and in addition the participants will get to know the different organizations that can further help them in the process of realizing their projects in or through Aruba. Furthermore, during the matchmaking sessions entrepreneurs and business executives will be able to discuss possibilities in more detail with local and International companies in one-on-one meetings.
The objective of this Green Missions Program in conjunction with the Green Aruba III Conference is to showcase the possibilities available regarding investments in Aruba, which in turn allows companies to showcase their products into the region. Aruba’s ambitious vision towards being a leader in the area of sustainable energy and its abundance in natural resources like sun, wind, and water, offer great opportunities for Aruba, but even more importantly, into the Caribbean and Latin American region.
The second program offered is Sustainable Aruba + 20″ hosted by TNO (The Netherlands Organization for Applied Science Research). This program is intended for managers, policy advisors/professionals and entrepreneurs who have keen interest in global sustainable development trends and their application to small scale islands such as Aruba. The central topic of the program is labeled “Sustainable Aruba + 20, achieving a Triple P-rating: a healthy balance between People, Planet and Profit”. This inherent balance between economic growth and social wellbeing touches on a variety of societal themes aligned to TNO’s areas of expertise: Healthy living, Transport and mobility, Build environment, Industrial innovation, Defense safety and security, Information society and Energy.
Participation in the Pre-Conference Day is completely free of charge but registration to the Green Aruba III Conference is required.
